To provide the delivery of culturally sensitive, a! ge-specific nursing care for adult medicine, pediatric, and OB/GYN patient populations; to perform telephone triage; assessment, screening, and patient education; direct patient care.
Accurate and expedient documentation of nursing care.
Knowledge and appropriate use of internal and external resources.
Provide functional supervision to assistive personnel; collaborate with colleagues, other disciplines, and health/care community services to promote continuity of care.

Salary & Nursing Framework Level:
This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C (B INC).
Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.
Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level E.

Required Qualifications*
Current licensure to practice nursing in Michigan.
One or more years of recent (within 5 years) nursing experience in ambulatory care or emergency department setting (non-research based) providing care to adult medicine and pediatric patients including telehealth nursing, and patient education.
Demonstrated critical thinking skills through use of the nursing process, excellent problem solving skills, and demonstrated ability to set priorities.
Demonstrated customer service, interpersonal communication skills and the abili! ty to build respectful relationships within and between units and individuals.
Demonstrated accountability and dependability including good attendance record with punctuality.
Demonstrated adaptability to changing needs and priorities based on unit, department, and institutional goals/objectives.

Desired Qualifications*
1-2 years of primary care RN experience in an ambulatory clinic setting.
Recent (within 5 years) nursing experience in women?s health, including perinatal care.
Demonstrated ! knowledge and skills providing patient and family education and coachin! g related to chronic conditions including but not limited to diabetes, asthma and coronary artery disease.
BSN
Experience as a charge nurse or equivalent management skills.
Proficiency with typing and electronic health record documentation.
Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
Work Schedule
Hours/Week: 24 hrs
Shift/Hours/Days: Day Shift; Mon-Fri (possible evenings/Sat)
