Covenant Healthcare is seeking qualified Physical Therapists to join our team in the Thumb area (Bad Axe and Cass City) and Saginaw, MI. Candidates can expect a highly competitive salary as well as a great benefits package.

The PT is responsible for providing physician ordered therapy and participates in the development of the physical therapy program. Teaches other healthcare professionals, the patient/caregiver and others how to carry out the prescribed therapy activities.

Job Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients by applying diagnostic/prognostic muscle, nerve joint and functional abilities assessments
• Discusses discharge goals during treatment and provides appropriate home program of exercises/activities prior to discharge
• Treats patients to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain performance using physical means such as exercises, massage, and heat
• Observes, records, and reports to the physician the patient's reaction to treatment and any changes in the patient's condition
• Instructs patients in care of and use of equipment
• Instructs other team members, including PTAs and family members/caregivers appropriate treatment procedures and supportive activities
• Makes referrals to clinics and other community agencies

Job Requirements

• Active Physical Therapist license in MI
• At least 1 year of experience in a clinical or home health setting
• OASIS experience preferred
