Medical Practice Supervisor
to join one of our busy physician practices. Included but not limited to: Pediatrics, Cardiology, OB/GYN, Bariatrics, Neurology and surgical speciaties team in
Dearborn, MI.
Under the direction of Senior Management, and in collaboration with the Medical Director and Clinical Manager, the Practice Manager Supervisor will be responsible for providing leadership and management of operations at clinic site.
The incumbent will be managing up to 9 employees comprised of medical assistants, patient access representative.
The primary focus will be managing the daily operation of physician offices and clinical sites, identifying and resolving issues to ensure quality patient service. The Practice Manager Supervisor will be the primary point of contact for all components related to practice and will report up to the Practice Manager.
The Practice Manager Supervisor coordinates functions related to front desk, business transactions, medical records management, transcription, clinical support services, compliance, safety, and customer service.
Works collaboratively with clinic medical staff and with system wide administrative and medical staff as needed.
Qualifications
Provides supervision, direction, and coordination for general clinic operations

Develops and maintains working knowledge of regulations and standards specific to the clinic(s), including Medicare service and billing regulations.

Assists in coordinating the development of physician and midlevel clinic schedules and coordinates and communicates initial and revised schedules as appropriate.
·
Assists in assuring that physician call schedules are developed for all physicians, and coordinates call schedule with in-clinic schedule, physician availability, communicating initial and revised call schedules as appropriate.
·
Works collaboratively with clinic division coding and billing specialists and central business office to assure timely and accurate capture of charges for services provided, prompt response to claim rejections, and compliance with all reimbursement procedures.
·
Communicates and supports policies and procedures appropriate for clinic.
·
Assists in conducting applicant interviews and effectively recommends appropriate personnel for clinic positions.
·
Plans, schedules, and assigns work in an efficient and cost effective manner.
·
Achieves and maintains targeted staffing, quality and service standards.
·
Conducts or recommends progressive discipline and discharge proceedings when
necessary.
·
Functions as a resource, teaching and collaborating with staff on a continuous basis.
·
Leads practice administrative team overseeing the day-to-day activities of a group of team members and achievement and department objective.
Qualifications:
·
6-8 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
·
2-4 years of management experience, preferably in healthcare, or equivalent education and experience.
·
Experience with clinical process and clinical flow.
·
Experience working with physicians in a medical practice setting.
·
Front office and Revenue Cycle experience required.
Minimum Educational Requirements:

High school diploma required
·
Bachelorâs degree in healthcare administration, business, management, or related field preferred.
