Must have the ability to teach in both a classroom and clinical setting and be particularly adept in the areas of pediatrics and obstetrics. Must have basis functioning a! nd ability in the area of medical/surgical nursing. The ability to work in a variety of settings and promote student growth and success is essential. This requires the use of excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to a variety of constituents along with solid pedagogy skills that promote learning. In addition, must actively participate in and accomplish items that are required for accreditation for the discipline, division and College. Must actively support student retention initiatives that promote program completion. Must also be available to work evenings, weekends and spring/summer.
Required Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing ( MSN ) required.
Current or obtainable Michigan RN licensure.
Minimum of two years clinical experience in the acute care.
Experience in Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Medical/Surgical Nursing.
Must teach approximately 10 equated hours in the fall, winter and spring/summer! .
Additional Experiences Considered
One year! of college level didactic and /or clinical teaching.
