Function as part of a team to manage patient flow in a fast paced, outpatient setting. Duties include but are not limited to the following: veni-puncture, specimen process! ing, bench lab tests and quality control monitoring, taking vital signs and immunization/medication administration. Obtain patient information and assist with patient call-backs in regards to prescription refills. Maintain, order and stock supplies for exam rooms. Perform EKGs and other tests and procedures as necessary. Assignment is floating to the various clinics, including but not limited to Internal Medicine, General Pediatrics, Adult Med & Peds, and OBGYN. Float may be assigned to other areas as needed.
Located at the Canton Health Center. Required Qualifications*
Graduation from a Medical Assistant program. Must have documented history of excellent attendance and punctuality along with excellent interpersonal skills and customer relations Desired Qualifications*
Certification as a Medical Assistant. Reasonable knowledge of methods, materials and equipment used in patient care activities. Demonstrate effective time management skills and ability to wor! k with minimal supervision. Experience in clinic, medical offi! ce or other Ambulatory Care setting. Competence with multi-line phone systems, computer usage, telephone etiquette and other office procedures. Work Schedule
This position is 40 hours/week, Monday - Friday, with evening shift and Saturday rotation. Underfill Statement
