Conducting and coordinating various research projects studying Breast, Endometrial, Ovarian, endocervical, Placenta, and Brain Cancers.
Correlate research results with diagnostic, treatment plans and prognostic f! actors which improve survival rates.
Handling of microscopic and gross specimens related to women cancers.
Participating in choosing the slides that best fit the study to prepare them for further immunostains.
Data collection and management of computer data base.
Participating in analyzing the final results of data to prepare it for abstracts or presentations.
Participate in projects and assist with preparation of OB/GYN pathology lectures for the medical students.
Coordinating the annual pathology course done by the department.
Coordinating the seminars and other activities to create awareness about women's cancer in community.
Managing the clinical trials requests.
Performing tissue block recuts, curls and H&E slides.
Performing RNA purification.
Unique Duties
Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD)
Major Field of Study: Medicine
! Type of training: Pathology
Three years of experi! ence.
USMLE exams with scores above 95 preferred.
ECFMS Certificate for MD
Specific Experience Required: Research experience or publication in robotic hysterectomy. Have ability to read slides and retrieve the diagnosis and other morphologic features.
Preferred Qualifications
Any experience or work previously in pathology will be preferred.
Training: preferred pathology PGY2.
