L&D has 12 LDRs, 3 ORs, and 6 OB triage beds. Sparrow is the regional referral center for high-risk obstetric care.

Job Duties: Clinical RN in a high-risk labor and delivery unit, with functional ability to support a patient and her family in any stage/phase of the laboring process. Surgical scrub and circulating assistance for antenatal or postnatal operative procedures. Rotating assignments to OB triage and the high-risk antepartum/postpartum areas based on unit needs.

Requirements:
·

Current Michigan license to practice as a Registered Nurse.

·

Clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills necessary to deliver quality patient care.

·

Interpersonal skills for effective communication.

·

Excellent customer service skills.

·

Physically able to do lifting, moving and transporting of patients.

·

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills required for age specific care.

Care is based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety, cultural and spiritual needs.

·!

Labor and delivery or critical care experience prefe! rred. Critical Care or Mother Baby experience Required.

·

AWHONN FHMPP course current.

·

NRP and OB EKG current or within 6 months of hire.

·

Candidate will float in OB Services, OBSCU, and Mother Baby

Preferred:
Scrub and circulation skills for OR. Two or more years of acute care nursing experience.
