Function as part of a team to manage patient flow in a fast paced outpatient setting. Duties include but are not limited to the following: specimen processing, bench lab tests and quality control monitoring, taking vital signs, and immunization/medication administration. Obtain patient information. Maintain, order and stock supplies for exam rooms. Perform patient tests and procedures as necessary. Required Qualifications*
Must be graduate from Medical Assistant Program. Excellent interpersonal skills and customer relations. Demonstrated abilities to work as part of a team in addition to being able to take direction. Effective time management skills and ability to work with minimal supervision. Demonstrated problem solving ability. Flexibility in assignments and schedule. Experience with clinic, medical office or other ambulatory care setting. Competence in computer usage, tele! phone etiquette, and other procedures. Must have documented hi! story of excellent attendance and punctuality. Desired Qualifications*
Specific skills preference: previous experience working in a vulvar clinic of at least 120 hours; previous experience of at least 120 hours in a gestational diabetes clinic; 160 hours in a high risk OB clinic; hands on experience with the insertion of at least 50 IUD's. Prefer three years experience as a medical assistant in obstetrics and gynecology setting. Immunization experience helpful in adult patients. Work Schedule
Work schedule is 40 hours per week - Monday through Friday - varies between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Application Deadline
