We are seeking a motivated, energetic, Medical Assistant, who is passionate about the health and well-being of our patients. Our locations are Birmingham/Royal Oak, Clarkston, Rochester, West Bloomfield and Lake Orion.
We are looking for a Medical Assistant to work in our Birmingham office that has a management background. The hours of the office at anywhere from 8a-6:30p Monday through Friday with Saturday hours.
We are well known for our excellent care for women of all ages. Due to the growth of our practice, we are looking for an individual who has experience working as a team.
The individual must have excellent oral and written communication skills and must be flexible.
This position will involve assisting patients and physicians in our daily patient care. This position involves phone triage as well as completion of paperwork.
Main Duties:
Provides clinical support to assigned clinical team including but not limited to charting chief complaints, vitals, etc.Room set-up, and clean up.
Maintains adequate medical supplies in clinical areas.
Performs assigned clinical procedures such as laboratory on-site testing.
Demonstrates the ability to identify positive v ersus negative laboratory results and communicates according to protocol with the physician.
Administers medication as directed by physician.
Triage patients; follows, established protocols.
Assures appropriate advice is given to patients.
Participates in staff meetings.
Maintains and demonstrates integrity according to our policies.
Working Conditions:
Ability to stand/walk up to 80% of the work time.
Working in a patient care environment may result in exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous substances.
Weekend, and Evening work may be required.
Education Requirement:
Prior OB/Gyn experienced preferred.
Athena EMR experienced preferred.
