Engineer, Test Engineering

Major Responsibilities:
  • Team leader, ensures the correct execution of test equipment and accessories.
  • Efficiently communicate technical issues/projects with the work team and globally.
  • Must be flexible and adapt to changing departmental priorities.
  • Initiative to improve accessories and test equipment.
  • Follow the disposal process
  • Monitoring and control of materials and storage
  • Work with EHS for improvements
  • Highly motivated individual provides test support for new product development and development for value projects.
  • Develop advanced electromechanical test equipment/accessories for various power tool testing, focus on electrical, electronic development, HMI and PLC programming, Labview programming.
  • Design the control system for follow-up tests, focusing on the design and programming of robot and PLC interfaces.
  • Be responsible for troubleshooting and maintenance of reliability test equipment.
  • Run routine calibration for all equipment/meters, focus on electrical parameters
  • Communicate technical issues/projects globally
  • Prepare and modify other documents as necessary to support the Test Systems Group and the Main Test Laboratory.
  • Initial assignment is the development of outdoor power tool accessories and test equipment.
  • Plans, schedules, and coordinates advanced test fixture systems, also focuses on electrical fixtures, platform development, and has strong ability to harmonize programming, PLC electrical, and Labview.
  • Writes and updates technical procedures maintained in the technical database on the B&D intranet.
  • Windchill platform skills (Bill of Materials, Drawings, 3D)
  • Interpretation of bills of materials
  • Interpretation of drawings
  • Maintain and follow metrics within the goal (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Production).
