Clinical Data Entry Specialist (Remote)

KangarooHealth is a nationwide provider of remote patient monitoring, tracking patients’ health changes for providers between visits and identifying early symptoms. We service an array of clients ranging from small practices to large health systems. KangarooHealth proprietary remote patient monitoring platform integrates directly with the client EMR, and our clinical team is scalable, ensuring a fast ramp up, high participation and high-performance remote patient monitoring program. We have developed operation protocols which help optimize remote patient care.

We are currently seeking a motivated Clinical Data Entry Specialist to join our fast-growing team. The ideal candidate will have rich experience in HIPAA data handling, EMR navigation, data entry, have excellent written & verbal communication skills, be detail oriented and organized. This role will be working with the senior operational team. The Data Entry Specialist will be responsible for EMR patient referral data entry and manipulating/formatting csv files to upload into the KangarooHealth dashboard.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work remotely with flexibility to accommodate different time zones (EST preferred))
  • Experience with and ability to learn EMR system such as eClinicalWorks, Modernizing Medicine, AthenaHealth, Cerner, Epic, etc.
  • Data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with data entry
  • Must be knowledgeable of HIPPA compliance within your remote workspace and regulatory guidelines for privacy to protect PHI
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work with high volume data entry efficiently at a computer for up to 40 hours per week

Key Functions:

  • Accurately enter patient information and clinical data into electronic systems or databases. This requires attention to detail and the ability to follow established protocols.
  • Perform data quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of entered information. Identify and resolve discrepancies or errors and collaborate with team members or supervisors to address any issues.
  • Organize and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity and security. This may involve creating and updating data files, verifying data accuracy, and implementing data validation procedures.
  • Adhere to regulatory requirements, such as patient privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA), data protection guidelines, and industry-specific standards for PHI (Protected Health Information). Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. Ensure timely completion of data entry assignments while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
  • Communicate proactively with the operation teams for updates, abnormalities, and responsive to feedback from operation teams.
  • Must be able to learn new software programs quickly.
  • You will be working on the online KangarooHealth software platform with your own personal computer.
  • Reliable internet connection.
  • Regular and dependable attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Temporary to Permanent role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $10.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 4 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
