Through a combination of primary care and specialty services, such as Cardiology, Dermatology, Neurology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Surgery, IHA exists to meet community needs by providing personalized, high-quality health and medical services to every patient. Currently, we are accepting applications for the position of Database Analyst.This position will require high level data extraction and manipulation from various healthcare databases and files to support organizational quality, utilization initiatives and other information needs. Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required. Position requires the ability to work independently as needed, and as an effective member of the Information Services team. Knowledge of the healthcare industry is desired but not a requirement. Required Skills:- SQL knowledge/experience, candidates must be able to read and write complex SQL queries- Perform business analysis, data analysis, and translate business requirements into data / technical specifications- Data mining/extraction, importing data from multiple sources- Troubleshooting skills in own projects and in various other systems - Microsoft Excel (Expert)Preferred Skills/Experience:- Knowledge of the healthcare industry is a significant benefit to applicants- Reporting tools (SSRS, Crystal Reports)- Import/Export tools (SSIS)- Programming experience in modern languages- Application support experience- MS SQL Database Administration experience/knowledge- Performance tuning
