The Department of X-Ray/Imaging exists to provide to our patients in a prompt, compe! tent manner diagnostic testing utilizing state-of-the-art equipment. We are a fully digital department, including general diagnostic radiography, fluoroscopy, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Digital Mammography, Stereotactic Core Biopsy, Bone Density, CT scans, and MRI. We have the only 3tesla MRI large bore unit in the area. All of the imaging technologists have had specialized training through formal college training programs and/or on-theâ€"job training and are registered in their respective fields. Employees take pride in their work and provide specialized care to their patients. We are very proud of the imaging services that we provide and the manner in which we serve our patients.
SUMMARY
The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for screening, positioning and imaging of patient. The Ultrasound Technologist will work closely with the Ultrasound Team Leader and Radiologist to produce the most diagnostic images possible in accordance with the department! protocols.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Must ha! ve completed an accredited ultrasound-training program or previously trained on-the-job and registered in Physics and at least one specialty (abdomen, OB/GYN, and/or vascular ultrasound) within one year of date-of-hire. Must be very conscientious and detail oriented person with excellent communication skills and demonstrate excellent service excellence skills. Applicant must be flexible and willing to assist in covering midnight and weekend on-call rotations.
