Primary Objective:
Responsible for supporting the business development & activation teams through consumer research & measurement related to corporate partnerships and their impact. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, leading the department’s input related to partnerships in the areas of market research, measurement, impact & analytics, asset valuation, and presentation & recap support.


Essential Functions:

  • Lead research & insights function related to partnerships in close coordination with the overarching efforts of the strategy department with the goal to supplement proposals, provide insights relevant to category opportunities & marketplace trends for corporate partnerships.
  • Analyze and identify commercial market opportunities that drive revenue growth by targeting core commercial categories, emerging categories, and non-traditional categories.
  • Serve as primary liaison to Mariners Business Strategy & Analytics team to translate fan data into consumable insights to be used in partnership specific prospecting materials and sales presentations.
  • Assist the business development team with new inventory development, targeting, and positioning.
  • Lead partnership impact measurement function designed to equip the activation team with data-based narratives to illustrate partnership impact & return on objectives (ROO).
  • Invoke a data-based approach to measure partnership performance that leverages internal resources and third-party vendors to support partnership recap process.
  • Provide clear & concise analysis of partnership impact in presentation materials that support renewal efforts.
  • Create a data-based partnership narrative that clearly articulates the Mariners brand position as data driven and innovative.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support Mariners data collection efforts from a partnerships perspective.
  • Will perform other duties as assigned.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Equivalent, relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education if approved by management.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in Corporate Partnership Sales, Activation, Strategy, Operations, and/or Insights is required.
  • Prior sports industry experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer programs and software necessary for the position required, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Adobe and CRM.
  • Workday experience is a plus.

The anticipated range of base compensation for this role is $65,500 - $70,000 annually, with commission potential.
